Wetrich Wins Ottumwa Am for Fifth Time

Ottumwa native Steve Wetrich captured the Ottumwa Amateur for the 5th time on Sunday. Wetrich's total of 6-under par 210 was good enough for a three stroke victory over 1996 champion John Burgett of Ottumwa. Wade Pettit of Carroll and Jeff Wenthe of Marion tied for third at 1-under par 215. The win pushed Wetrich to the top of the IGA Player of the Year standings.
