Ian Vandersee Earns Trip to Trump National
Players came from all over to compete in the 2009 U.S. Junior Amateur Qualifier held Thursday, June 18 at Fort Dodge Country Club. Ian Vandersee, of West Des Moines, was the only qualifier with a 36-hole total of 142. Vandersee was followed by Tanner Kesterson, of Plano, Texas, and Sawyer Shaw, of West Palm Beach, Florida. Kesterson shot 146 making him the first alternate with Shaw as second alternate.
Vandersee qualified for the 2009 U.S. Junior Am, which will be held July 20-25 at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey.
