Iowa finished in 34th position at the USGA Men's State Team Championship at Mayacama GC in Santa Rosa, Calif. which concluded on September 16th.
Jon Brown and J.D. Anderson fired 72 and 77 respectively to record a final round team score of 149 and conclude the 54-hole competition. The three-person team played the final round without Mike McCoy due to a twisted ankle he suffered earlier in the week.
Brown's final round of 1-over par 72 equaled McCoy's opening round 72 for Iowa's low individual round. The 149 that Brown and Anderson posted on the final day matched the team's low score for the week, as Anderson's 77 paired with McCoy's 72 in the opening round.
Kansas won the 2010 championship finishing four shots ahead of a trio of states that included Rhode Island, North Carolina and Florida.
