Bent Tree Hole 10

Form held at the 2006 Tri-State Director's Cup Matches.  For the fourth consecutive time, the host team was victorious in the matches as Nebraska took home the cup with a strong final day to edge out Iowa by two points, 29 1/2 to 27 1/2.  Kansas finished in third with 15 points.

The Nebraska team had a strong showing in the Tuesday Singles matches claiming 15 points and erasing a 1 1/2 point lead held by Iowa heading into the final day.  The Iowa team earned 11 1/2 points in Singles while Kansas tallied 9 1/2.

The Iowa team was led by Nate Dunn who earned all 9 of his possible points.  J.D. Anderson and Jon Brown also performed very well, earning 7 and 6 1/2 points for the team, respectively.

The matches are a goodwill competition between 8-man teams of the Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska Golf Associations.  They began in 2000 and are staged every other year alternating host associations.  Kansas will host the next matches in 2008.

NOTES: The matches consist of partner play on day one with one session of Foursome matches and one of Four-Ball while the second day is for singles matches.  The Iowa team is chosen based on points earned in the Player of the Year race in the last two years, counting half their points from 2005 along with all of their points in 2006.  Mike McCoy earned a spot on the Iowa team but is unable to play due to scheduling conflicts.
