Ethan Mechling of Des Moines made an Ace at Otter Creek Golf Course in Ankeny on September 11, 2012. Ethan was playing the par 3, sixth hole at 181 yards. He used his pitching wedge to do the trick. Way to Go Ethan!
During the 17th Annual Bruce Mills Memorial Golf Outing on September 8, 2012, Howard Mills made a Hole-in-One on the eighteenth hole at Cross Creek Golf Course in Morrison, IL.The par 3 was playing at 170 yards. Congratulations Howard!
On Friday, August 31st, 10 year old Chase Lycke of Nevada recorded his first Hole-in-One on the par 3 second hole at Twin Anchors Golf Course in Colo. Chase's club of choice was a four hybrid and the hole was playing 109 yards. Congratulations Chase!
Joe Moench of West Des Moines made an Ace on the par 3, ninth hole at Hyperion Field Club in Johnston. He made history on September 6th, with the hole playing 166 yards and he used his 8-iron. Way to Go Joe!
During Men's League on September 5th, Brian "Chuck" Coughlin used an 8 iron from 154 yards to Ace the second hole at Griswold Golf & Country Club. This is Chuck's first ace! Great Job Chuck!
At Big Rock Country Club in Fayette, Lloyd Hultman of Westgate recorded his second Hole-in-One on August 21st. The thirteenth hole was play 138 yards that day and Lloyd used his driver. He did not see it go in, but he was quite surprised when he found it in the hole. Way to Go Lloyd!
Rodd Bullard of West Des Moines recorded his seventh Hole-in-One on September 2nd, on hole the fourteenth hole at Glen Oaks Country Club in West Des Moines. The hole was playing 153 yards and he used a 6-iron. Congratulations Rodd!
Pella Golf & Country Club had an exciting day on September 3rd, when Chris Konop made a Hole-in-One on the par 3 sixth hole from 146 yards using a 9-iron. Great Job Chris!
On Monday August 27th, David Chiles recorded his second ace on the second hole at Pella Golf & Country Club from 149 yards with a 7 iron. Way to Go David!
During the second round of the 34th Iowa Senior Amateur, both Charles Svensson of Urbandale and Dan Naughton of Marion made Holes-in-One at Mason City Country Club! The fourteen hole was the lucky one for Svensson, playing 168 yards. The fifth hole is where Naughton recorded his Ace, which was playing 121 yards. Congratulations Charles and Dan!
The 116 yard par 3 at Tournament Club of Iowa in Polk City had no defense when Steven Jordan made his Ace on August 5, 2012. Steven used his gap wedge on the fifth hole. Great Job Steven!
