The deadline to enter the Iowa Mid-Amateur Championship has been extended to 11:59 p.m. Sunday, May 6th. The previous deadline was Thursday, May 3rd at 11:59 p.m. Pairings and other information relating to the championship will be emailed to all players on Monday, May 7th.
The IGA made the decision to extend the deadline due to errors experienced by the GHIN Service Servers on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. The IGA is aware of individuals who were having troubles entering due to this “downtime”.
An IGA Member is anyone with an active IGA/GHIN # at an IGA Member Club. When a person submits an online entry the system makes a call to the GHIN Servers to verify that they are active and a member of the IGA before proceeding with the entry process. When the GHIN Servers were down this verification could not take place, resulting in many people trying to enter having difficulties.
GHIN has fixed the issues with their servers and are currently adding infrastructure to avoid any reoccurrences. To enter the Iowa Mid-Amateur or any other event of the IGA simply click the link below.
