| USGA Course Rating Seminar Announced |
| Urbandale G&CC will host the IGA Course Raters February 5, 2008 A USGA Course Rating Seminar for all IGA course rating volunteers will be held Monday, April 21, 2008 at Urbandale Golf and Country Club in Urbandale, Iowa. Scott Hovde, Manager, Handicapping and Course Rating, from the USGA will conduct this one day seminar. This seminar is geared toward refreshing experienced raters as well as training any new volunteers for both men and women. Anyone who is interested in rating is welcome to attend.
This seminar will include a 3-hour updated Power Point presentation on all aspects of the course rating system, lunch, on-course exercise and an on-course review. It will begin with registration at 8:30 a.m. The Iowa Golf Association will cover the cost of the day’s activities, there is no charge to attend. Below is an outline of the day’s events:
8:30 – 9:00 a.m. Registration, IGA Staff 9:00 – Noon Power Point Presentation, Scott Hovde Noon – 1:00 p.m. Lunch 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. On-Course Exercise 2:30 – 3:00 p.m. On-Course Review, Scott Hovde
