IGA Software Seminars Announced

Seminar to focus on GHIN/TPP and other products available through the IGA

The Iowa Golf Association is pleased to announce that once again we will be administering a series of seminars that feature the various software products that are a core benefit to being an IGA Member Club. The IGA is holding three seminars throughout Iowa in hopes of highlighting, promoting and educating individuals on the use of the Golf Handicap and Information Network (GHIN®) as well as some new applications available through the IGA’s website.

We will begin with a presentation on the most ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ the IGA Staff receives as it relates to the GHIN Handicap Program. We will show you the ‘tricks’ to make the software work in the best way for your club, from creating and printing reports to downloading software updates. We will also highlight some new products included with your club’s membership in the Iowa Golf Association.

The second half of the seminar will shift gears to the Tournament Pairing Program (TPP™). This program is included in the GHIN software package and is the exclusive tournament software of the IGA and the USGA. Individuals will learn the facets of tournament setup and administration using the software.

Specific focus will be given to a new product which will allow Iowa clubs to upload tournament results from TPP to the web “With the Click of a Button!” Imagine posting tee times and results as soon as you get cards turned in. No more phone calls asking for tee times or flight information. It’s all online! And have you ever thought about taking signups or collecting entry fees online? The IGA has a solution for that as well.

The seminars are from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Each seminar is broken up into two sessions; the morning session covering the GHIN® Handicap Program and other components and the afternoon covering TPP™ and uploading results to the web. The cost is $15.00 per person. Lunch will be served at each facility and you are encouraged to come with questions and to bring a laptop with TPP or GHP installed if you wish.
