McCarty Repeats as Sani Champion

Gene Elliott Finishes One Shot Back - Is Low Amateur

Sean McCarty, Head Professional at Brown Deer GC in Coralville, won his second straight title at the Herman Sani Invitational at Hyperion Field Club on Sunday, August 10th. An easy two-putt from 8-feet on the last gave McCarty a final round 68 and a one shot victory over low amateur Gene Elliott of West Des Moines. Elliott birdied the final hole to match McCarty's final round of 68.

Former Sani champ Jon Brown also shot a closing 68 to finish in third while reigning Iowa Amateur Champion Mike Oimoen fired a final round 64 to move up to fourth.
